The Japanese multinational consumer electronics video game company has announced New Pokémon Games for their gaming console, Nintendo Switch. The two games, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, would take the players back to Kanto region for collecting the original 151 Pokémon. These will give the players, a different feeling altogether.
Both of these versions would have either Eevee or Pikachu sitting on the character’s shoulder or on the head. Where these are the proper Pokémon games coming to Switch for the first time on 16th November, this year, Nintendo has also come up with the announcement that a “core” Pokémon game, is in line for the console, all set to come late in 2019. That game would see a totally new Pokémon and some from the region of Alola.
Pokémon Yellow Version has been used as an inspiration and also as a base for the two games, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee. To connect better with young kids, the developers had taken the original games of Pokémon Red and Blue versions and went on to add some elements from Team Rocket, an animated series of Pokémon.
In these games, players will catch Pokémon through the use of a single Joy Con motion controls by way of gestures at the game screen in order to throw a Poké Ball. The map will also display Pokémon, which would help the players to choose the kind of Pokémon they like to do battle with. The games would also allow players to transfer anyone, from the Pokémon Go game out of 151 Pokémon, to Eevee or Let’s Go Pikachu, through a Bluetooth.
There is the drop in and drop out features added, wherein the second player can join any time, just by shaking a second Joy Con.
The director of the games, Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, Masuda said that, through these games, they are trying to introduce new playing styles and make the gaming experience a simplified one for the players.
