Amazon’s prime day sale is going to start on the 15th of July and just a day earlier, Walmart has officially announced to reduce the prices on Apple watch and Fitbit smartwatch. There are various products which Walmart is trying to target to beat amazon during prime day sale. Earlier they have announced to offer a massive amount of discounts on iPhones and Apple products.
Now smartwatch section is also getting targeted by Walmart to beat Amazon. Walmart knows how to target the right type of customers, and that’s why from last one week, they are lowering the prices of fitness watches. Those customers who are waiting for prime day sale might get attracted to this move of Walmart since the rate of discount is more significant and early here. Amazon has started the promotion of prime day from many days, and now since the time has come, Walmart is trying to get a piece of cake here by attracting customers.
The strategy is not a new one because earlier, whenever there are big sales like this, each company tries to offer something bigger to attract more customers. Walmart has specifically targeted Apple and smartwatches since these products carry more demand than others.
