Apple recently launched some migration utility tools making it easier for Windows users to switch between Windows to macOS and vice versa. Users can immaculately transfer their data, contacts; file contents, documents, emails, audio or video files or data from other third-party applications such as Microsoft Outlook from Windows OS to macOS.
Utility tools will be derived along the release of Apple’s latest macOS Mojave 10.14 beta 6 updates. The rollout news was first speckled by one of the users on Twitter and later on 9to5 Mac. Moving data from one OS to another OS is not usually a simple task. But, Apple has tried to make it easier for users.
Previous versions of the migration utility tool provided the facility of transferring of the local documents only. But, with this new tool, you can not only transfer local data but also the entire accounts along with different files. This could conceivably save a larger amount of time as setting up the accounts again on the entirely new machine is a crucial and grim task. Moreover, majority of users forget their passwords and logging into the account might be problematic.
Steps to download and install macOS 10.14 Mojave latest beta version:
In order to download and install macOS 10.14 Mojave beta 6 versions on your laptop or desktop users need to sign in to the Apple Developer center. Later, they need to visit the Download tab, scroll down and click on the download option to start with the downloading process. Open the download section and double-click on the macOS Mojave Developer Beta Access Utility to install macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.pkg.
As this is an entirely new concept introduced by Apple, users are suggested to back up their entire data and if possible try to download and install the beta version on your secondary device as you may come across some snags due to pre-public release bugs and issues.
Astonishing features included in macOS Mojave beta update includes:
- Stacks: It inevitably moves the unnecessary items from the desktop or laptop by stacking files of certain types.
- Time-shifting desktop: It automatically changes the wallpapers according to the current time.
- Gallery view: Users can search for additional information within a few seconds
- 32-person FaceTime Calls
The date of release of macOS Mojave is still not confirmed but Apple plans to roll it out hand-in-hand with iOS 12. The software is still under beta testing version. Hence, transferring sensitive data from windows to macOS will be a foolish task. So, users should avoid copying their important documents to macOS PC until the company rolls out the final version.
