Taiwan-based HTC Corporation’s smartphone division tweeted this morning about their upcoming flagship smartphone. The next major Android release of the company is almost assured to be the HTC U12 as it has already started making a couple of early appearances. Images at the launch have hinted us about the U12 that it would not have a notch, pointing a break with the mainstream of Android flagships in this current year, reported The Verge and also confirmed that to be the case only with the people who are familiar with plans of HTC.
The smartphone vendor has generated a new tagline for their next Android flagship smartphone and the tagline is – “a phone that is more than the sum of its specs’’. It suggests that the company is making an effort to distinguish itself in many ways. Supposing the exploded appearance of components in the teaser picture is displaying parts of the next smartphone. Get some specs of the smartphone that consist a dual-camera structure for the backside of the phone and another one for the forward-facing. It agrees with a picture acquired by a serial leaker Evan Blass in the month of March 2018. The alleged U12 also seems to possess a card tray for microSD storage expansion, but can’t find such marks for a headphone jack, as the feature was abandoned in the early previous year.
It’s snooping to see HTC continuing with its smartphone division especially after selling off the bulk of its smartphone business to Tech giant Google. But then again, the company would take years to design the phone and it’s logical to interpret this next launch (and some other that might follow later). As merely the achievement of projects that were already in the pipeline when the deal to sell to the most popular search-giant, Google was arranged. After the coming week, especially after the launch of OnePlus 6, the HTC company will face fierce competition for its next flagship smartphone in this Android market which has already been the filled with new smartphone models.
