Netflix and chill are what the majority of people think when they hear about movie streaming giant Netflix. Netflix now wants to access more data of its users for some good reasons, and they are even implementing a new feature for it. Netflix reportedly added a new menu for its Android users, which will help the company to have physical activity access. Netflix is trying to get more connected with its users, and that’s why the tech giant has decided to launch a new feature. A security researcher on twitter first talked about the Netflix Android app in which he mentioned about a new menu.

The company has added this new menu for accessing users physical activities. Many users use Netflix for watching movies and web shows. Movie streaming business is getting quite competitive, yet Netflix has managed to get to the top. However, now they want to have more dominance in this industry by having access to users data and activities. The statement released by Netflix says that they are testing how the video playback platform works when users are offline. This new feature is not rolled out for all people, but it’s been tested for only selected users.

This new feature is rolled out for Android users and will come with Android Q update, which will allow developers to have access to data or step counts. Developers said that they are going to collect user’s physical activities like walking, biking, and other sorts of moving. There were many times when Netflix asked users about their other activities. Like if you’re sitting idle, then it will ask, “Are you still watching?” And now they have further extended this feature. Netflix is trying to create more accessible platform for its users by introducing such type of functions.
