he smartphones, OnePlus 3 and 3T is getting Open Beta software updates. OnePlus 3 that was launched long back in June 2016 gets an OxygenOS Open Beta 39 updates while the other one OnePlus 3T gets upgraded to Open Beta 30. Both the updates and fixes might roll out this November.
The new update will be an OTA update. Users will have to follow some steps to get enrolled into the Open Beta Program. The new program doesn’t bring any major updates to the software or application of both the smartphone devices but typically focuses on the optimization of camera and launcher settings.
It includes launcher (to improve search tags in App drawer and added new installs tag in the app drawer along with improved searching of hidden apps from hidden space and toolbox), camera (flawless swapping between the rear and front camera), and the multimedia (improves the capability to pursue through AAC audio file timelines).

OnePlus 3T specifications:
- Snapdragon 821 chipset

Since every technology has some benefits it has some dark side as well. Pros of the upgraded version include getting open beta software that brings more stability. It’s comparatively more secure than the normal update. But, on the other side, open beta software is less stable than the normal regular software updates. Moreover, it is more vulnerable to bugs, viruses and utilization points, which is the biggest drawback of this software.
The updates are rolled out over the air but only OnePlus 3 and 3T users having beta version will be able to download it. Those having official build will be at a disadvantage.
