Upcoming operating system upgrade to OxygenOS 5.1.9 will bring remarkable changes in OnePlus 6 smartphone. It adds a battery optimization feature to the device. The phone will by default turn off the background network operations the moment when the user’s device switches to sleep mode.
OnePlus 6 has named this feature as ‘Sleep Standby Optimization’. To activate this feature user need to use advanced optimization section that comes under battery optimization option. The OnePlus battery would get charged up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
In the previous software upgrade, OxygenOS 5.1.9 typically promised to improve camera OnePlus 6’s quality. The OnePlus 6 device owners will not receive the updates all at one time. Some might get it earlier while others might get it later.
The new upgrade gets Android security patch that keeps your smartphone all the more updated. The company has looked into touch screen response as well that will contradict accidental detections of the swipe gesture.
They have also introduced ‘general bug fixes and improvements’ but has not described what it actually means with this term. Another trending feature announced is the Google Lens integration. How does this lens viewfinder work? Users can point the camera at the desired text; get in the specific searches, or saved contacts, scan the QR code and finally acquire the products of your wish along with their prices.
Users can also get the detailed information of a particular location or place just by holding the camera at that particular location. They have used several image processing algorithms to improve the camera quality. It adds edge detection in portrait mode and dynamic range that leads to overall improvement in accuracy and speed.
Improvements in the existing algorithms can progress the overall photography performance. As far as our knowledge of OnePlus 6, its camera captures the best quality pictures in bright sunlight as well as in low or dim light. You can shoot 4K video in low light as well.
