The Chinese phone maker recently unveiled Oppo R17 that features two amazing specifications. One is the water-drop notch while the other is an in-display fingerprint scanner. It will officially hit the world market on August 18. However, users can start booking of this smartphone from August 18, 10 am China time onwards.
Oppo R17 will be available in two remarkable colors –
Neon Purple and Stream Blue. Other well-renowned specifications of the phone include:

- 91.5 percent screen to body ratio
- Built-in 10nm chipset process
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 along with octa-core CPU processor
- 128GB expandable internal storage
- RAM size of 8GB
The display screen of the smartphone will be protected with Gorilla Glass 6. There seems to be an Essential PH-1 notch at the top end of the device much similar to Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro. It consists of a flat and thin surface at the bottom of the screen with no bezels at the corner.
The company has introduced an in-display fingerprint scanner to protect your smartphone from hackers and intruders. It features 3P micro-lens for interpreting and recognizing the actual and real fingerprints. The most important and basic feature that shows up the quality of the smartphone is its camera. The 25 MP front cameras are really amazing for capturing the photogenic faces. The capturing intensity of rear camera is still not disclosed by the company.
Both of them are equipped with artificial intelligence technology. The rear camera is powered by a dual lens along with a flash. The device will replace the LCD screen with an AMOLED display as it is the biggest and primary requirement to install an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The battery power of R17 is quite healthier than R15. It has the battery capacity of 3,500mAh. It comes with faster-charging capabilities with the support of VOOC. The decent price of the phone is 3,000 Chinese Yuan. The device will run on Color OS 5.2 based on Android Oreo 8.1 operating system.
