Xiaomi will pull out Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S’ and have already entered into its testing phase.  Google Pixel is the only smartphone today that has received Android P update. Pixel devices include Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2XL.

Some of the makes that will soon join the Android P Beta program and already started initial testing of the software are Xiaomi, Vivo, Sony, OnePlus, Essential, HMD Global, and Oppo. Adaptive Brightness, Adaptive Battery, and App Actions are some of the features Google has emphasized to the Android Oreo ecosystem OS to come up with Android P.

Here’s an in-detail summary of the features Android P will display:

Slices

This feature will slice the app within the Google Search.  For example, if the user searches for Uber app, Slice will divide the application within the search enabling you to book the cabs directly from the slice.

Notch support along with gesture navigation

This feature will let users choose their desired navigation and enable or disable Android Pie’s gesture navigation, but this will work for all smartphones except Pixel devices.  For Pixel devices, Google will mandatorily allow only the gesture navigation.

Digital Wellbeing

Android P will introduce digital wellbeing feature that comes with a dashboard.  This dashboard will be in the form of pie charts and bar graphs notifying users regarding the time they have spent using the smartphone.

Adaptive battery

Adaptive battery feature predicts the usage of battery by all the apps and accordingly gives the approximate estimation of battery life remaining.

App Actions

Google introduces another feature App Actions in Android P update.  It will automatically prompt users of what app they will open before they open it.

Adaptive Brightness

Using AI technology, the adaptive brightness feature will automatically adjust the screen brightness.

Users can install this application on their smartphone by going to the Settings option and later on Software updates.
